A moment of revelation occurred to me last year when the elections took place. Following the injustices that took place thorough the year for black and queer lives, and the phenomenons due to the election's results, I wanted to make a difference, as small as it may be, for my communities as a queer woman of color and an immigrant. My best friend, Debbie, and I decided we would embark on a year long trip to travel across America in search of "safe spaces".
There you have it! Every week, we will travel to a different city in a different state to discover and explore LGBTQ-friendly places that will be showcased to the community as a resource of fun, unique, and welcoming places to visit in a post-Trump America, as our letter of intent states. By using our platforms, we hope to find and bring awareness to those "safe spaces" that embrace and cater to a diverse body of LGBTQ individuals.
We are continually seeking sponsors to help cover the costs of our expedition; if you're interested and would like to be a sponsor, please email me. We also welcome donations below. We appreciate all of your support, as we look forward to an exhilarating and enlightening year.
