They say a smile is the best medicine. Smiles are sweet and harmless, but they can change the world. A smile instantly makes you more attractive, it can change attitudes, and it can make someone's day. A smile can also give someone hope, so keep smiling; smiles are free.
This #ootd is about the meanings of a smile. I read somewhere that "sometimes your joy is the source of your smile, but sometimes your smile can be the source of your joy." I'm wearing all of the pieces in my wardrobe that make me smile. The most compelling one that tells my story is the smiley face pin which I received as a gift from the fellows at Pocket Square Clothing. Every time I look at this pin, it reminds me of all the the joy and happiness in my life, and I can't help but smile right back at it.
Another main component of my outfit are my socks. As you all know, I love fun and colorful socks, they make my feet really happy. I have, once again, teamed up with my friends over at Up Attire to provide you with a 20% discount sitewide with the code ADC20. Wanna get on my level and upgrade your sock game? Well, now is your chance.
I'm rocking burgundy pants with a light blue striped shirt, and a navy vest. This blazer is one my favorites ones, it's bold yet subtle and brings out the hue of the tie. I was very careful with my choice os accessories for this look. The burnt orange tie pair wells with the navy and adds a nice contrast, socks that make a statement, and a pin that symbolizes joy. Monk Strap shoes always makes you like a badass, so I opt for these any chance I get. Lastly, this briefcase steals the show and ties the whole look together. What's there not to smile about?
This story is that of how " it only takes a split second to smile and forget, yet to someone that needed it, it can last a lifetime." - Steve Maraboli
Don't forget, smile!
